Baseball Classes for Kids
Hit a home run with our Baseball Classes for children ages 2-6 years. With our experienced coaches, baseball for kids makes learning fun. Using drills and games specially designed to teach skills like catching, throwing, fielding, base running and hitting to kids. In baseball classes the children learn the basics with a focus on developing a love of the game in a fun and safe environment.
The indoor fall season runs from September to December, followed by the Winter season which runs from January to April. And the same, great program runs in the summer from June to August at a number of local outdoor locations.
Introduction baseball classes for children aged two. Weekly drills and games introduce base running, overhand throwing, holding the bat correctly and fielding ground balls. Our experienced coaches lay a solid technical foundation while keeping sessions fun.
Baseball basics for kids aged three. During the weekly sessions we introduce 'point, step and throw' overhand throwing, proper hitting stance, level swing to hit off the tee, and two handed fielding. We lay a solid technical foundation and keep it fun.
Designed for children aged four years. The weekly classes focus on core skills; a smooth follow-through after hitting off the tee, hitting a coach pitched ball and throwing accuracy. Drills and games teach the basics while coaches always make it fun!
Baseball sessions for children aged five and six. At this level our classes use drills and games to advance their mechanics to achieve additional power and build distance in hitting, throwing and fielding. This program is popular because of the coaches.
Batter Zone baseball classes are offered as a year round opportunity for children to get introduced to the game. It is expected that in time our players will progress and join one of the many local baseball organizations where they can play Little League. The following local baseball clubs service our city in the spring and summer; Ancaster Little League, Alexander Park Minor Sports, Binbrook Minor Baseball, Dundas Little League, East Mountain Baseball, Gourley Park Community Baseball, Hamilton Cardinals, Mahoney Bears Baseball, Stoney Creek Optimist Baseball, Waterdown Minor Baseball and West Mountain Baseball.
Batter Zone clinics are offered in fall and winter for children playing outdoors in the summer and who want to continue playing and improve their game. Off season clinics include pitching clinics, catching clinics and hitting clinics as well as Prospects (all position) training.
